Techlog Using a downhole log and baseline data generated during the 346 Asian Seasonal Integrated Ocean Exploration Expedition Campaign, a new set of harmonized training data was produced and made available in the Ocean Drill Log database.
The end users of this data set are intended to include interested researchers using Schlumberger's Techlog software package, the main software used in both R / V JOIDES Resolution and D / V Chikyu, to integrate and evaluate the lower log and supplementary data.

Techlog training data set To help with this, the standard IODP tools and abbreviations have been maintained throughout the processing of the data. The dataset has been optimized to work seamlessly on computers with the same minimum specifications as Schlumberger Techlog (quad-core processor with 3 GHz frequency and 8 GB RAM) and has optional additional data sets for higher spec systems.

Furthermore, after the completion of formal training, there are few opportunities for researchers to expand the complex training schedule and associated data. This can lead to an environment with accessible, appropriately formatted data in which researchers can gain experience.
