[Techlog Exercises] New features in the latest Techlog update

On our site, we remind you of all new developments in the Techlog program, as the Techlog Wellbore software platform has been constantly developed and tested over the past 19 years to reach the best possible efficiency. The result is a well-centric pilot platform that is faster, more usable and more stable than ever.

This new version of the Techlog platform includes significant improvements in usability and productivity, such as the fully functional AWI plots in the Techlog Quanti module, enhanced well filtering capabilities, polygon lifecycle management, and improved LogView headers.

Customers can now customize and expand workflows in the new Python 3 workspace. Techlog 2019.1 also offers binary compatibility with Techlog 2018 releases, so Ocean plug-in developers and components don't need to upgrade or recompile.

The new revamped Python AWI now provides unprecedented performance especially when handling areas. The performance of the Multiwell graph charts, region liberalization and Monte Carlo calculation on porosity saturation methods has been greatly improved.

Within the Studio E&P Knowledge Platform, the new background publishing feature greatly improves productivity, allowing users to continue working on the Techlog platform while sending data to the Studio platform. Studio platform version compatibility has been improved enabling Techlog 2019.1 to run on Studio 2018 systems.

In Europe and North America, Techlog 2019.1 is now available in the DELFI Knowledge E&P environment as part of the Petrotechnical Suite.

1- Ease of use

• Enable AWI graph and graph for Techlog Quanti module.
• Filter the upgraded project browser using a well list to support pasting copies of wells from a third-party script using commas.
• Improved project selection window functionality to allow users to search for specific projects.
• Improved polygon copy management on crosshair and gives users the ability to save polygons as custom objects.
• Dynamic header added to LogView with automatic rendering of legends and lithograph qualifications.
• Simplified graphic simplification provided.
• Improving the well properties of DLIS files by offering an option to regulate the well characteristics by operating, improving the display of information, and adding the ability to paste and merge operations while maintaining the integrity of the well properties.
• Improved search functionality for the Petrel Guru unit.
